My Thoughts

I am a self-proclaimed CoHort! I don’t know what it is about Hoover’s writing that ensnares me, but it does. I have had this on my shelf staring at me for a while and finally, with the release of Maybe Now on Wattpad my sister has prodded me into reading this.

I ate it up because as always it features emotionally damaged characters which on some level always end up speaking to me. As always, too, I find some small issues with it – like how utterly unrealistically in touch with their emotions some of the guys can be, how they can be so *so* understanding to situations and always consider a female’s well-being. Okay, there are some guys out there like that but let’s be real… few and far between. 😉

But, in the end, it’s a book and it’s an escape not a HOW TO manual or something that we should take overly seriously outside of how it impacts us emotionally. It’s fiction, not non-fiction.

In the end, I still like the story and how it highlighted the deaf community, how it highlighted their issues without feeling like a PSA
