Sam’s world falls apart when she discovers that David, her husband and father of her two children has been having a torrid affair. After asking him to leave the marital home, she finds herself struggling to pull herself and her life together, and finds herself having to find herself a job in order to make ends meet.

Lachlan is a lot younger than she is, and he’s also one of the junior managers at her new place of employment. Despite her initial misgivings she quickly finds herself indulging in a steamy affair of her own that shows her that sex with her new co-worker is not only exciting, fulfilling and filled with new experiences, but it is also definitely the best sex she has ever had in her life

Lachlan teaches her things about herself that she never knew before, and even though she tries to tell herself that it’s nothing more than sex, she quickly discovers that her emotions may also be involved

Samantha is a mom of two, married, housewife and when she discovers her husband was having an affair she kicks him out so she can figure things out. Does she stay with him or move on? During this time she has to find a job and mend an open wound.

While she’s at work, Lachlan, a much younger boss begins to flirt with her and one thing leads to the next before they begin hooking up.

At 73 pages this is a quick read! However, there were a few things that [personally,] bothered me that kept me from giving this a higher rating. While Samantha most definitely has any right to make with her body it is the fact she is told [by Lachlan,] that he doesn’t want to see her wearing X, that he doesn’t like them on her and more specifically when Samantha says she isn’t sure she’s ready to date anyone he actually chuckles and says “Date you? I don’t want to date you.” I don’t know why I found that rather insulting to Samantha – she didn’t seem to mind any. I did.

Overall it wasn’t a bad short to read. If you’re looking for a quick read to gulp up during a break at work, or something to devour while kicking off a book hangover this would be a quickie [pun intended,] to pick up.
