As promised, here is my book haul from the other day. Let it be said that not even a snowstorm can keep me away from a bookstore. Funny enough, I had tried using a gift card at Bath & Body Works prior to hitting the bookstore and they were closed due to the storm. Do you think Barnes & Noble closed for the snow? Absolutely not! Because it is the perfect day to brave the sketchy roads and sit in the store, or buy a book to curl up with.
On a side note… I’m a little bummed out that in my area there are so few Book Stores. There is a Used Bookstore not too far from me but they have odd hours. Barnes & Noble happens to be the only store in my area. One is about a 40ish minute drive and the other is an hour 1/2 away.
- Dragonflight by Anne McCaffrey
- A study in Silks by Emma Jane Holloway
- The Sword of Shannara by Terry Brooks
- The Revenant by Michael Punke
I’m really excited about reading Dragonflight, I’ve been meaning to read it and admittedly, most ashamedly, I have only read one book by Anne McCaffrey and that was Black Horses For the King , I read this while I was on jury duty and loved the idea of it. You know, it doesn’t hurt she was also a native to Massachusetts.
Happy Reading!
